Wildlife • Urban • Temples • Landscapes
My name is Martin Abrams, an Australian photographer who has called Japan home since 2001.
My photography explores Japan's natural beauty, from quiet temples and forests to waterfalls, wildlife and the changing seasons. Whether I'm photographing a tiny jumping spider, the mist at Ryuzu Falls, or the lights of Tokyo after sunset, I'm drawn to moments that invite people to slow down and look a little closer.
I enjoy returning to the same locations throughout the seasons, discovering how changing light, weather and atmosphere can transform a familiar scene. Each visit offers a new perspective and reminds me that nature is always changing, even in places that seem familiar.
Living in Japan has given me endless opportunities to experience both its famous landmarks and its hidden places. Through my photographs, I hope to share the atmosphere, beauty and character of Japan as I experience it - one image at a time.
